London Art Scene: The Bridgeman Summer Party with Peter Graham ROI

A highlight of the London Art Calendar is The Bridgeman Images Summer Party held this year in Soho at The House of St Barnabas. The Bridgeman Art Library has one of the largest archives for reproductions of Works of Art in the World .
Joining in the celebrations were Ed Whitley, Global Head of Content at Bridgeman Images, Broadcaster Alex Pascall, OBE  and Joyce, his artist wife  and cofounder  of Alex Pascall Singers and their daughter Deirdre Pascall an arts educator, composer and professional musician.

Alex Pascall inspires many with his amazing life: one of the developers of the Notting Hill Carnival, musician and  composer, and, during his time on BBC radio interviewed many prominent guests including  Muhammad Ali and Bob Marley.

‘’The Bridgeman Team are  a dedicated  group making a vital difference supporting the arts in the UK. This Summer's event was fantastic held in illustrious surroundings , meeting many artists including painter Boo Saville and photographer Heini Schneebeli  ” - Peter Graham

The  House of St Barnabas is a  Grade 1 Listed Georgian  corner building and  has a fascinating history of Charity work for the Homeless. The House itself was inspiration for  Charles Dickens  and his imagined lodgings for Dr Manette and Lucie in the  historical novel  'A Tale of Two Cities’,

As Artist Member of the Paisley Art Institute I am delighted to be part the 134th Annual Exhibition. The Paisley Art Institute, (PAI), founded in 1876, is now an important hub for artistic endeavour in Scotland.

This major selling exhibition of Open Entry and Members' works goes on show at The Maclaurin Art Galleries from 20th May and is a must for contemporary art lovers -The Maclaurin Art Galleries are set in beautiful woodland on the southwest coast of Scotland and well worth the visit!

'Mount Orohena’ is part of a series of oils from my painting trip to Tahiti exploring the rich landscape, orange groves and tropical palms on this tiny pacific island. The thick foliage and intense colours are all encompassing on Tahiti with a paradise shorefront of lagoon palm trees and a soaring backdrop of volcanic mountain peaks between silver clouds reflecting that unique French Polynesian light'
