A love letter to Paris - for those who might like to hear the story of the painting 'Café de Paris' by Peter Graham and how connecting with Paris has been a vital part of Peter's life as a painter.

Peter first visited Paris when studying at the Glasgow School of Art in 1976. It made a huge impression with its extraordinary mix of artistic culture, community spirit and joie de vivre, not to mention Art Nouveau architecture, fashion and style.

Society of Writers to His Majesty's Signet Gallery Tour with Peter Graham ROI RSW 

Peter Graham ROI RSW hosted a meet and greet with the Writers to His Majesty's Signet(WS)‘SIG ART’( Special Interest Group) and presented a tour of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour Annual Exhibition 2025 in Edinburgh.

The Writers to His Majesty’s Signet is one of the oldest societies in Scotland dating back to 1594 and is a part of the College of Justice. Solicitors in Scotland were previously known as 'Writers'- and the magnificent WS Signet Library on The Royal Mile is open to the public and well worth a visit

Peter added -'It was a great honour to tour the exhibition with the WS Society  and discuss work by various RSW members including  Glen Scouller ( Glen has a blazing colour new coffee table book out 'Like a Moth to a Flame' which I can highly recommend), Shona Barr, RSW President: Anthea Gage and John Kingsley
It was a wonderful event.'

The Annual Open Exhibition of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour previewed on Friday 10th January at the Royal Scottish Academy Upper Galleries, The Mound, Edinburgh,

This exhibition is the leading showcase of contemporary painting in water-based media in Scotland

This group exhibition brings together around 300 works , including 200 watercolour paintings by RSW Members such as Peter Graham ROI RSW.

The RSW Annual Exhibition is a spectacular highlight of the fabulous Winter Arts Calendar in Edinburgh and shares the RSA galleries with 'Turner in January' which includes a group of paintings by JMW Turner from The National Gallery of Ireland never seen in the city before

The RSW is open to the public until Wednesday 5th February 2025 - highly recommended and both exhibitions are FREE entry!!
