Argyll Hotel, Iona, Painting Gift from Peter Graham

This July I was delighted to gift an oil painting to the wonderful Argyll Hotel on the  Scottish island of Iona for their truly excellent hospitality over many years . This small hotel is the best kept secret on the west coast of Scotland! . I have been so lucky  to have experienced the rich Hebridean journey  on my many painting trips to Iona- and always  a warm welcome from  Katy, Daf, Wendy and Rob.

Thanks for doing such a wonderful job  and see you again soon!

New Tolsta and Peter Graham painting on Stornoway

A flying visit to Stornoway this June  was a revelation not least catching the best weather in 40 years - a highlight was to travel up to see New Tolsta farm and meet the artist owner Tom Hickman winner of Scotland’s ‘Home of the Year ‘ this year and no wonder - It was a delight to enjoy his painting studio and meeting the man himself.

I had such a great time enjoying the land and sea of this Hebridean island. Here is a  watercolour painted on this trip-my attempt to capture the mesmerising morning light  at Stornoway Harbour as seen from Lews Castle.
